What is Socialmonk?
Socialmonk has been on the market for around a year and a half and focuses on the fact that, in essence, you’re hiring your own Instagram Manager to deal with your account growth.
They are very quick to mention that the growth they generate is manual and with no use of bots or fake accounts. They offer a weekly pricing system which may seem like you’re getting a good deal, but actually works out to be more expensive than some of its competitors.
Founded back in early 2020, Socialmonk aims to make things easy by providing you with an Instagram Manager as opposed to a specific growth service. They market their service in a way that means you can add numerous accounts onto your package, providing they are all linked to the same email address. That is their selling point and seems to be what they were founded on.
How Does Socialmonk Work?
As mentioned above, Socialmonk concentrates on pairing you up with an ‘Instagram Manager’ (important to note, these people do not work for Instagram), who will then take over your Instagram account to prepare it for organic growth. They specialize in raising the profile of your Instagram account so it’s easier to increase growth.
They claim that you’ll receive real subscribers (presumably they mean followers), real likes and real comments from the audience you are interested in seeing growth from. There are, however, a few downsides to their service.
As you know, we use shadow accounts to review each service we have listed on here. Our experience, together with the reviews of others (see here), has led us to have a few concerns over Socialmonk’s service. Firstly, the point that most people will realise before anything else, they are quite pricey (see pricing below). This is somewhat covered up by the fact that they display weekly pricing as opposed to monthly, although you do have the option to change it to monthly. Considering there are cheaper AND more effective options around - such as FollowFox - we can’t understand why anybody would choose to pay this much. Secondly, on the same subject, Socialmonk offers no money-back guarantees or refunds.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the rate of growth is typically very low. There are some reviews that say they didn’t even receive one extra follower. Something to definitely take into consideration when deciding whether or not to use Socialmonk’s services.
Having been on the market for over a year, it’s disappointing to see that Socialmonk haven’t tightened things up by reducing their prices, improving their refund policy and, most importantly, increasing and broadening their growth strategy. These three things, at least in our opinion, are deal breakers when it comes to selecting the right Instagram growth agency for you, and makes it impossible for us to recommend them.
